ClientEarth is Europe’s leading environmental law organisation, who have been using the legal system to protect life on our planet since 2008. Their unique approach has attracted big-name collaborations and famous supporters to the climate fight.

With the company’s newly refreshed values and a new CEO in place the time felt right to step it up a gear with both the internal and external communication strategy. But when you’re responsible for defending the health and well-being of 8.1 billion people, keeping your donors and supporters feeling well-informed, and your every-growing team on mission, is easier said then done.

We designed and facilitated a bespoke, interactive workshop to guide the leadership team through the different stages of embedding the new values. From ‘temperature-checking’ the current state of play, to envisioning what a truly value-led ClientEarth would look, feel and behave like for both employees and to the outside world.

We then distilled the findings into actionable roadmap. Covering the short-to-long term organisational goals and spanning everything from employee onboarding to donor use journeys and communications and that can be used to inform every future action, decision and policy.

With the roadmap in place, it was time to start spreading the word with a range of comms. These included a launch film and set of branded collateral designed to put the new values front-and-centre for a no-nonsense team reminder of their shared cause.

We also created one of their first CEO addresses to their supporter base. Translated into multiple languages, this acted as a heartfelt thank you to donors from around the globe for their continued support and an acknowledgment of the vital role they play in achieving each of ClientEarth’s successes.
